lip blushing pre-care

Thank you for choosing camoglam beauty inc. for your lip blushing. Please follow the instructions for the best results.

things to remember

Your lips cannot be dry. For the week leading up to your session, you must moisturize your lips as much as possible. Dry lips will result in a rescheduled appointment and loss of your deposit.

Cold sores are a risk of lip blushing. In order to avoid an outbreak, antiviral medication may need to be taken before and after any lip procedure. Please consult with your primary care provider.

If you plan on getting fillers, you MUST get them at least 4 weeks before or 4 weeks after your appointment due to swelling and bruising.

Sensitivity may be heightened during your menstrual cycle.

one week before

HYDRATE! Drink plenty of water in order to reduce dryness on your lips.

EXFOLIATE! Exfoliating lips AT LEAST one week before your appointment is CRUCIAL. Your lips cannot be dry and will ensure a smooth and even result.

You can mix coconut oil with sugar to make a natural exfoliant for your lips. Use this daily for AT LEAST one week leading up to your appointment. (TIP: leave in your shower so you don’t forget!) This will prevent improper pigment saturation and a poor healed result. Do NOT scrub your lips the morning of your appointment. Do not over scrub to the point that you have raw or compromised skin.

five days before

Cold sores are a risk of lip blushing, even if you’ve never had one before.

L-LYSINE (1000mg) can be taken 3X per day for 5 days before to 5 days after your procedure.* This can be bought over-the counter, but ALWAYS consult with a doctor first.

48 hours before

No alcohol, caffeine, aspirin, blood thinners, fish oil, niacin or Vitamin E.
