why i started camouflage tattooing

I created camoglam beauty inc. because I know firsthand how frustrating it is to deal with scars and hyperpigmentation and how limited the treatment options can feel, especially for women of color. As someone prone to discoloration, I tried everything: laser treatments, steroid injections, topical creams… but nothing truly helped fade the scars I had after my tummy tuck surgery. I paid all of this money just to cover it up! There was really no such thing as “scar removal” in Sacramento.

That changed when I found scar camouflage tattooing in LA.

This form of paramedical tattooing helped me reduce the appearance of my scars and brought back a sense of confidence I hadn’t felt in years. It was the first time I looked in the mirror and didn’t immediately zero in on the areas I used to try and hide.

That moment is what inspired me to become a cosmetic tattoo artist…so I could bring that same freedom to others.
